Project Coordinator & Quantity Surveyor

Main Responsibilities

  • Review architectural plans and Estimate quantity and costs of materials.

  • Manage and plan all costs associated with projects, from outset until completion.

  • Involve in everything from producing tender documents and planning costs to preparing final bills of quantities.

  • Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors.

  • Complete tender documents for submission. Prepare specifications and / or Contractors proposals. Submit tenders and follow up.

  • Monitor current projects and coordinates all team members involved to keep workflow on track.

  • Set budgets for payments, inventory needs, and materials. Identify potential financial or construction risks

  • Keep track of construction materials and inventory. Utilize software to calculate, record, and track inventory and estimates.

  • Act as a liaison between clients and site managers/engineers.

  • Record minutes and take detailed notes during meetings.

  • Communicate timeline changes and new information to team; tracks project changes and adjust schedules as needed.

  • Ensure all work at every stage of a project is completed on time, within budget and to the correct standard.

  • In charge of keeping track of all project-related paperwork; ensure all needed materials are current and properly filed and stored.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Engineering degree (Civil / Mechanical)

  • Min. 2 years experience in project Coordination in Manufacturing / construction industry, preferably door or hardware business

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications
